New York City New Year’s Eve Winery Parties

Want to celebrate New Year’s early in the day so you can be home safe and sound when the midnight madness starts in New York City? Then hop aboard the Sparkling Wines of the World cruise on New Year’s Eve afternoon to sail around the New York Harbor while learning food pairing tips with a delicious sampling of wines from vineyards around the world. Nibble artisan cheeses, fruits, nuts and breads while learning which wines go perfectly with what! Casting off from the Chelsea Pier at 2:15PM, the tour last until 5:00PM and cost $95 per person.

To escape the bedlam of New York City streets on New Year’s Eve, retreat to the Brooklyn Winery where the theme for the evening is Paris chic with a Moulin Rouge bohemian spirit. The party will be lively in some rooms with burlesque dancers and magicians entertaining the crowd or choose a quieter room with a jazz trio keeping the mood light. Every room has anopen bar with absinthe, craft beers, cocktails, and, of course, fine French wines. Tickets are $85 in advance, $100 at the door or if you want a more private gathering you can reserve the VIP Bubble Room for a party of 15 for a mere $3,500 and ring in the New Year with a luxury dinner, high-end champagne and top-shelf service with a dedicated wait staff.

For fans of the band Los Lobos, the City Winery is the place to be for New Year’s Eve with two shows, the first at 7:30PM and the second beginning at 11:00PM and running through the midnight balloon dropping champagne toasting festivities. Ticket prices range from $60 for bar stools to $85 for reserved tables and VIP tables are available for $175. Dinners from the menu will be served starting at 5:30PM until 8:00PM unless you have a VIP ticket, in which case you can indulge in a special 5-course meal prepared by Chef Andres Barrera which will be served in the seclusion of the winery.
