Covering twenty beautiful miles between New Haven and Hermann, Missouri, the Hermann Wine Trail features six family-owned wineries. Tourists will enjoy the scenic drive or trolley ride between wineries as well as the tours of the wineries themselves. Additionally, seasonal events abound on the Hermann Wine Trail. From the Chocolate Wine Trail in February to the Berries and BBQ Wine Trail in July to the Holiday Wine Train in November, there is a seasonal event to interest every tourist.
As the closest winery to New Haven, the Robller Vineyard Winery is the first stop on the Hermann Wine Trail. Established in 1990, this winery makes soft wines with fruity notes. The Robller Vineyard Winery cultivates 16 acres. They welcome tourists to visit for the day, and they also host special events such as the annual Robller Reggae Sunsplash in August.
The next winery on the Hermann Wine Trail is Bias Vineyards and Winery. Bias Winery is a small, family-owned winery with pressing and bottling operations on-site. Bias Winery also includes a beer micro-brewery. Bias Winery hosts Saturday night buffets complete with beer and wine. Reservations for Saturday night buffets are required.
OakGlenn Vineyards and Winery is open seven days a week and boasts an impressive list of wines for purchase. This vineyard offers live music every weekend from May through October and also participates in seasonal events on the Hermann Wine Trail.
With many buildings dating back to the mid-nineteenth century, Hermannhof Vineyards is steeped in history. This spectacular vineyard even offers two bed-and-breakfast inns called The Inn and Haus Wineries, allowing tourists to stay right on the grounds of the vineyard itself. It is possible to host a wedding or corporate event at Hermannhof Vineyards.
Established in 1847, Stone Hill Winery has been renovated to allow for continued production of wine on-site. Tours at Stone Hill Winery showcase the largest series of wine cellars in North America. Open seven days a week, this winery participates in seasonal events along the Hermann Wine Trail. Stone Hill Winery offers a casual restaurant located inside what was once the carriage house of the estate. Vintage Restaurant serves German and American cuisine.
Owned by the same family since 1855, Adam Puchta and Son Wine Company is a growing winery that is open to the public on weekends. This winery participates in seasonal special events along the Hermann Wine Trail.
